Performance Eiren is a dance performance developed in collaboration with Dutch choreographer, Eva Monen, in which the 4000 eggshells from Eiren (2000) were destroyed. Lebrusan and dancer, Marije van Lidth de Jeude danced across the eggshells – stepping and breaking them, completely messing up the organised arrangement. The performance was recorded from an eagle eye view and streamed live to viewers outside the bunker. While two bodies move around each other expressively in the bunker, audiences could only hear the music and witness them through a small door and the live video stream.

Deliberately damaging the eggshells, Lebrusan and Monen’s choreography spotlights the fragility and vulnerability of life. It compels its viewers to put life’s lessons into perspective, challenging them to expand their understanding of how things work, and to embrace the experience.
